Off The Mountain

The N'Ice Club was a bar made entirely of snow and ice. The tables, chairs, walls, bar, etc was all made of ice. This fireplace is only used when the temperature drops extremely low. It was not used the week we were there and temperatures were consistently below 0 degrees F.
An ice sculpture of a whale.
Some of the tables in the N'Ice Club.
Tom Burt enjoys a cold one. As you can see, we dressed warmly for this one!
The DJ booth
The outside of the N'Ice Club. The walls are ice blocks and the roof is snow.
More tables. There was a disco ball above.
Lucy and Janet propose a toast while Kathy looks on. Their shot glasses, a souvenir from the N'Ice Club, were made entirely of Ice.
So what's in those glasses, anyway? Lucy looks pretty happy!
This was taken from the "Cabriolet." The village is built on the slope of the mountain and it can be a tough walk up the hill to the gondola. The Cabriolet is a mini gondola that carries skiers and shoppers from the bottom of the village to the top. A ski trail runs through the village all the way to the bottom of the Cabriolet. Here, we're looking up over the rooftops of the village toward the mountain.
Pat, Patrick, Lisa and Kayla Shaw pose in front of the Village.
Same as above, minus Pat, add Bud.
Don Fredrickson. That's his 10th beer. He also ate that entire tray of nachos.
Husband and wife reunited at last! (Note the matching "his and her" vests!)
Lucy, Kayla and Patrick.
Janet enjoys a Blueberry Martini while Lucy samples the local Red Ale.
Bartender... keep the Martinis coming!
Somehow I was nominated to take a picture of the "dispenser" in the men's room. For a quarter, you got one of four stimulators. The ladies all pitched in and sent me in to collect all four. I think the locals were terrified when they saw me going in and out of the bathroom with money and cameras. Nobody had in interest in the cKone cologne in the other dispenser.
The base of the "Cabriolet."
Janet, caught in the act.
Everyone is gearing up for leftover night.
And here they are... the leftovers! It was quite a feast!
Pat and Lisa. They look very happy (notice the lack of kids).
Alright, back to the feast.
What's a party without a picture of everyone stuffing their face?
The other end of the table.
Here is the whole group - 15 in all.
Kathy, Janet and Bud enjoying a bottle of wine. Any guesses as to how many bottles of wine were consumed that week by our group?
Back to the N'Ice Club, where Kathy, Janet, Lucy and Chip enjoy an ice cold beverage.
The center of the village was lit up at night. The lights helped guide us back to the condo after an "evening of consumption."
Notice the furs on the benches in the N'Ice Club.
What a happy bunch...
Lucy has since developed a whale-licking addiction.
The Cabriolet provided an opportunity to see the village below (and the other club members behind).
One of the finer hotels in Tremblant village. Don Fredrickson was known to frequent this hotel for the complimentary breakfast and newspaper.
Our trip leader... what an example he sets. Bud shows us how it's done.
