Dear Skiers, HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOURS!! After a late start, most of the mountains are finally open. Our ski season is kicking off with a trip to Okemo on December 30. And now that the cold weather is here, we can look forward to skiing all of our favorite mountains. At our website www.uppercapeskiclub.com you can check out the conditions of most of the mountains we’re planning on going to by clicking on “Internet Links”. Mark, our webmaster, has provided most of the New England mountains, as well as newsgroups, forums, ski magazines, fitness related sites, some of the overseas places we’ve been and some we haven’t! Check it out!! So, keep your gear sharpened, enjoy the holidays, and come to our next meeting at Jillian's at 7:30 January 3, 2002. Suzanne Robertson

Membership Application for 2001-2002 Season How to apply for membership: Step 1. Fill out a membership application. Please answer all the questions, especially whether you will permit your name to be published. With your consent, your name will appear, along with the addresses and phone numbers of other members in a future club directory.
Step 2. Make your check payable to:Upper Cape Ski and Sports Club. Dues is $25 if paid by December 3rd.. After December 3rd dues increases to $30. Step 3. Mail the application and check to:Upper Cape Ski Club P.O. Box 2123 Teaticket, Ma. 02536

Deposits help ensure that a space is reserved for our members. These deposits apply to bus trips, weekend trips, week long trips and more. Late cancellations are not entitled to a refund, nor is the club responsible for finding a replacement for you if you cancel. You must find your own replacement, although we will endeavor to help you whenever possible. Deposits are further subject to the conditions imposed upon us by our suppliers, agents or other providers. We make every effort to refund as much money as possible but cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.
Inquire of your trip leader for specific information regarding your particular trip.
The club recommends that you consider trip insurance whenever possible.

This great package includes round-trip airfare, transportation to and from the airport, 7 nights lodging at the Snowmass Inn, and a five (5) day ski pass at four different mountains. The Snowmass Inn is conveniently located in Snowmass Village, less than 50 yards from the ski slopes and the Snowmass Ski School. Rooms have cable TV, refrigerators, coffee makers, hair dryers, telephones, and balconies. There is a heated outdoor pool and hot tub. A "deluxe continental breakfast" is served daily, and a complimentary wine and cheese party will be held. Shuttle service to the other ski areas is free. Wednesday, January 9th, 2002 Fabulous Stratton is getting better and better. The mountain has put $11 million into it’s “Ursa Project”, a complete upgrade of snowmaking, lifts and services. Get up early and join us as we travel North for a great day of skiing. There are 55 trails and 13 lifts open for skiers and boarders of all abilities. So dust off your skis and ski suits and get to the bus at 5 am for coffee, donuts and a fabulous day at Stratton. This is one of the clubs favorite trips in past years has frequently been a sellout. So don’t dilly dally or you won’t get a seat on the bus. April 4 ~ 7 , 2002 Thursday ~ Sunday Here’s your chance to ski a little known resort that has the most snow in the East! Jay Peak reports an annual total of 340 inches of the fabulous white stuff each year. That’s more than twice as much as Killington. Jay Peak also offers the only off-piste skiing in the East as well as abundant glade skiing for those wanting to challenge themselves. Our accommodations are slope side at the Hotel Jay. Based upon double occupancy our package includes two dinners, three breakfasts, three lift tickets and three night’s lodging. All this for $269 per person! Space is limited to 20 people and this trip is guaranteed to be a sellout. The trip leader is Diane Payson.
