CANNON MOUNTAIN SKI TRIP
JANUARY 26TH
On Thursday January 26th the Club is making its first day trip of 2017 to the iconic Cannon Mountain in beautiful Franconia Notch. Although the 'Old Man' can no longer save face so to speak, Cannon still represents the best of old fashioned New England skiing. With 95 trails and glades it boosts the biggest vertical in all of New Hampshire. For those that have skied there before this is an easy sell. For those that haven't, you really owe it to yourself to do so. That blue glare you have seen in the past on Rte. 93/3 should be a fond memory with the $5.1 million the mountain just invested in snowmaking. If it's the terrain that has held you back in the past don't let it, the mountain has something for everyone as less than a third of the mountain is dedicated for expert skiing. The adventurist in you can take a short hike off the Cannonball Quad and try the 14 trails on Mittersill including the legendary Taft trail. Put this on your New Year's resolution bucket list as it will be an excellent day of skiing and camaraderie.
